Music and Dancing... there's nothing better

My friend, Pete Brienholt, was doing an outdoor benefit concert in Midway Town Square.  He is an amazing musician!  I haven't heard him play for a long time so it was so much fun to see him and have my kids hear him too.  They never stopped dancing the entire night.  It was awesome!

The concert did not end until really late.  Francesca out lasted everyone.  She never stopped. She danced fast, slow, and everything in between.  She reminded me of someone at Woodstock.

Whenever I hear Pete play it brings back so many memories of a summer in Israel.  We all became friends on a study abroad.  Pete had his guitar and we would listen to him play for hours on Ben Yehuda St., in Jerusalem.   It was an unforgettable summer...

Finnegan the Fisherman

King Finnegan the Fisherman!

Finn went fishing with his Dad and Pap.  He was the only one to catch a fish.  It must be because of his new lucky pole.

Today I was thinking about my children and ice cream.  I was trying to decide which flavor would describe each child.  Hmm... today's flavors.
Isabella would be Rainbow Sherbet.
Francesca would be Pink Bubblegum.
Finnegan would be Chocolate and an extra scoop of cool Daiquiri Ice.
Cecily would be Cookies and Cream, with sprinkles.

Bridal Veil Falls

Today I took the kids on a walk to Bridal Veil Falls.  They did not want to go at all, but once they got there they had a really great time.  They said, "we can't believe we live so close and never knew it was like this".

I love Bridal Veil Falls.  It is just something that I've seen the majority of my days since we moved to Utah.  When I was a little kid my mom would drive me from Midway to American Fork daily for dance.  When we would pass this amazing waterfall, I knew that we were half way to my class.  There used to be a tram that could take you to the top.  My Dad took me and my brothers one time and I loved it.  Later, when Tyler and I were freshmen at BYU he took me to a "Dinner Dance" at the top of the falls.  It was a really fun night.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to a wonderful Daddy!  We love you so much.
As you've probably noticed, Finnegan is not in this picture.  As soon as the camera comes out, Finn disappears.  I think he's a native that believes the taking of his picture will steal his soul.

Each year the kids make Tyler a candy poster.  They pick out the candy and tell me what to write.  It has become a tradition.  Nothing fancy, but their Dad loves it!

There's nothing to top off the day than a quick game of Kick Ball...
4 kids to 1 great Dad.

Fun in the sun

I love this wonderful crazy bunch

Finn flipped over and over again

The other night we took the kids swimming and had a ball.  They're all little fish.  Everyone is so happy in the water that it makes want to move to a beach town.

When I saw this picture I immediately thought of Tyler.
He would do this for me . . .

rainy day bowling

I love bowling shoes.

It has been raining the last couple of days, so today we thought we'd go bowling.  My sister came and since she's the bowling master we put her in charge of all of the kids.  It was awesome.

Discover

The Children's Museum was the first thing to do on our "summertime to do list".  It has so many wonderful things to see and do.  The kids were so curious about everything and loved it.
